SSPTMS Field Supervisor - JFK IAT in Jamaica, New York

This position is located at JFK International Airport, Terminal 4. The Field Supervisor at JFK IAT (T4) is the primary, on-site liaison between SSPTMS and the client. The Field Supervisor reports to the Account Manager and the General Manager and is responsible for ensuring the work site is operated in a manner consistent with our contracts, policies, and applicable legal or safety standards, all while maintaining strong working relationships with SSPTMS, our employees, and the client.Work is done outdoors and in all weather conditions.For consideration, candidates MUST meet the following qualifications:• Available to work at least one (1) weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).• Available to work daytime (0600 x 1800) and/or overnight (1800 x 0600) tours.• 3+ years of previous experience working in traffic management, airport security, or other safety related experience.• 3+ years previous supervisory experience required (military, law enforcement, or traffic enforcement supervisory experience preferred, but not required).• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including consistent and reliable email access).• Excellent people skills, de-escalation skills, and report writing skills.• Licensed NYS Security Guard.• 4-hr Flagger, OSHA-30, and SST certifications within sixty (60) days of hire (in order of preference).Field Supervisor - JFK IAT Job Description:• Facilitate the smooth, secure flow of traffic in high volume areas.Understand and apply safe traffic control practices.• Provide shift oversight and direction to all subordinates to meet the standards established by the client and the policy and procedural requirements established by SSPTMS.• Provide a staffing report before the start of each tour and at the end of each tour.• Prepare detailed incident reports and ensure incidents are adjudicated correctly with proper notification.• Respond to all unusual occurrences; execute emergency response plans when necessary.• Mentor and assess personnel and make recommendations to management.• Audit and inspect subordinates and site conditions and provide feedback.• Work alongside law/traffic enforcement officers and other traffic control mechanisms in the area.• Perform other additional tasks that are deemed job-related by the client and/or SSPTMS.• Maintain frequent and positive contact with SSPTMS personnel, clients, and public.Skills Required:• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Active listening skills.• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.• Attention to detail.Other Requirements:• Must be at least 18 years old.• Must speak English.• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.• Must have reliable transportation to/from the work site(s).• Valid NY/NJ Driver License (preferred).

Minimum Salary: 27.00 Maximum Salary: 32.00 Salary Unit: Hourly
