Located in the Jeffersonville, Indiana area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. To be preferred for this position, you will need to have a complex understanding Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Your responsibilities

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

• In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

• Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries Requirements - Financial statement preparation experience

• Month end closings experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

• Foundational knowledge in Yardi

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

• The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proficient in ERP systems

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
