JPMorgan Chase Compliance Risk Management - Employee Conduct Lead in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Vice President in the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) team, you will be responsible for overseeing U.S. Political Contributions/Activities Compliance and Anti-Corruption Compliance within the Global Anti-Corruption Compliance (GACC) team. Your role will involve managing the firm's global Anti-Corruption Program, designed to mitigate corruption risk and ensure compliance with U.S pay-to-play laws and global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws. As part of the Risk Management and Compliance Function, and within the Global Employee Compliance and Conduct organization, you will provide compliance coverage for key employee-related regulatory and compliance risks such as Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Code of Conduct, Licensing and Registrations, and Personal Account Dealing. You will also partner effectively with Line of Business (LOB) and global/regional Compliance teams, including Internal Audit, Operational Risk and other Control functions. This role requires a solid understanding and experience in Compliance, as well as familiarity with regulatory and/or audit best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

The Role requires an experienced Compliance professional, versed in corruption and pay-to-play risks, to help manage and lead the U.S. federal/state/local government officials and Anything of Value workstreams across JPMC's lines of business. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing subject matter expertise with respect to Anything of Value, including gifts, entertainment, charitable contributions, sponsorships and political contributions.

  • Managing and performing governance responsibilities including policy and procedure development and oversight, projects and initiatives and monitoring and testing related to the firm's management of the risks associated with political activities, gifts, entertainment and the provision of Anything of Value.

  • Assisting with managing the risks and controls related to JPMC's Anti-Corruption Compliance program, including managing the framework around identifying the firm's population of employees subject to rules related to political contributions/activity, and reviewing political contribution pre-clearance requests

  • Assisting with political contribution and gifts and entertainment related technology initiatives, including automation and data analysis.

  • Reviewing potential breaches to applicable policies and the anti-corruption and political contribution control framework and disposition in accordance with established violation frameworks.

  • Helping to identify, improve and implement innovative solutions to meet existing and future needs, including technology and other initiatives.

  • Contributing to the development of training and communication, including delivering in person training.

  • Developing and enhancing key reporting and metrics to help effectively manage anti-corruption and political contribution risk.

  • Assist with internal and external audits, exams, and inquiries. Influence and drive key aspects of the Compliance programs.

  • Help develop and create power point presentations to update compliance management on issues related to the Anti-Corruption program, risks and controls.

  • Support a culture of and emulate high level ethical standards.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Intermediate to expert skills in Excel, Power Point, Word

  • Strong professional presence and ability to present at all levels, including senior management

  • Three to five years of substantive Anti-Corruption compliance experience

  • Self-motivated individual who demonstrates initiative with proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability

  • Track record for delivering results and seeks to break the status quo and initiate change

  • Must be familiar with industry best practices and able to exercise a high degree of independent risk based decision making, autonomy and sound judgment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior experience and knowledge of state and local pay-to pay rules and regulations preferred
