As a Product Manager in Global Clearing, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

The Payments Product Management organization is responsible for managing and growing the P&L, scaling, and integrating payments platforms across Commercial Banking and the Corporate & Investment Bank. The team defines the product strategy, drives the product roadmap, segments clients and packages solutions against these segments, determine the end-to-end delivery strategy, manages the product launches, and enables the sales teams. The business generates over $1 billion in revenue, is consistently ranked #1 in the industry and is the largest fee generating business in payments. You will be responsible for driving globally the next generation of cross-border payments and client solutions through using data to identify client and business opportunities and insights. You will work with Clients, Sales, Product, and Partners to identify opportunities to improve Client Experience, identify revenue accretive opportunities & enhancements, and work cross functionally to help define the Future of Payments.

Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers

  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap

  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition

  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability

  • Drive innovation within the Clearing business for our clients, partnering with the broader Payments Organization

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize white space and tactical product opportunities through extensive analysis of value chain and external forces

  • Evaluate external trends spanning payments, industry verticals, and technology disruption with the goal of identifying emerging opportunities

  • Understand and proactively manage risk ,compliance and regulatory affairs for products owned.

  • Lead client, sales, and industry workshops with the goal of identifying and evaluating unique industry workflow needs, client pain points, and evolving client needs

  • Complete in-depth analysis of direct and indirect competitive landscape and deliver recommendations spanning learn, build, and buy

  • Create commercialization process to identify, track, and report on productivity of past, current, and future product development and investments

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area

  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics

  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management

  • Deeply analytical - leverage advanced models to transform large sets of data into insight

  • Change agent - make a passionate case for change through facts, strong communication style, and deep understanding of audience

  • Supports the strategic definition and configuration of optimal solutions that address clients' needs and objectives through collaboration with our clients and other internal teams such as Sales and Product.

  • Strategic thinker - comfortable transforming abstract ideas into a plan of action

  • Relationship builder and Client advocate - invest in developing collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners; delight clients across all touch points through deep understanding of commercial clients and their emerging needs

  • Driven to execute - tear down walls to deliver results, leverage strong organizational skills and deep drive to execute flawlessly

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization

  • Consultant or product strategy experience

  • Payments expert - strong point of view on the future of payments informed by experience and thought leadership

  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organization will be essential to achieve success in this role
