Insight Global Systems Analyst in Jersey City, New Jersey

Job Description

We are looking for a Systems Analyst who wants to join a fast paced and growing brokerage/trading organization within a large financial institution. This team is responsible for a next generation trading platform that is going to be crucial to the company's future success. It has recently been launched into production and is receiving so much traction and interest that the team has to grow significantly and quickly. We are looking for individuals with exposure to either brokerage domain OR in depth technical API systems. This candidate needs to be able to pick up systems quickly and understand complex systems.

We are looking for a very resource who is also analytical and is interested in being a true SA/BSA for a trading organization. The SA is responsible for working closely with a product owner and tech lead to assist in a variety of tasks. Candidate must be able to work with a growing team of technologists in a fast paced and highly ambiguous environment bursting with new technologies.

As a senior systems analyst, your role is to identify and investigate business and system requirements in support of complex payment systems. This candidate will be working closely with both business and technology key stakeholders.

We are looking for individuals who are:

* Proven capacity to lead clarification and 'translation' of less-technical documentation and/or requirements into highly technical subject-matter

* Proficient in successfully executing on define-build-test cycles.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills are important for this role. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively to multiple audiences from both technical and business perspectives. Possessing the ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries, within the team and across companies, by building and maintaining positive relationships is extremely important.

* Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills

All candidates are required to be on site one week per month in one of the local offices.

Compensation: $60/hr to $85/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3-5 years in a System Analyst/Business Analyst Role (would be open to business domain background instead)

  • Clear and concise resume and communication style

  • Longevity in background (3-5 years at past roles)

  • In depth experience withBrokerage (front or back office) with exposure to technology OR in depth SA background with exposure to investment domain

  • Strong and clear communication skills

  • Familiarity with web-services and ability to liaise between the business & dev team and to translate to tech reqs

  • Proficient using Confluence & JIRA

  • Agile experience - Working knowledge of Java, REST, SOAP, JSON and APIs

  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS) and SaaS platforms

  • Full stack development experience e.g. (Java/ APIs/ DBs/ some system design)

  • Experience working on Customer Accounts, Customer Statements or Customer Onboarding within finance investments/trading null
