We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to support our Operations site in Johnson City, TN, USA.

You will be part of a world leading dental company within an international matrix driven organization. You can expect both fun and challenges on our continuous journey.

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for following quality controls/regulatory guidelines and procedures to ensure that supplier raw materials, finished goods, and outsourced processes comply with engineering and product specifications, as well as quality/regulatory requirements. You will assist in the design and implementation of policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment. The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Supports purchasing, product development, and site operations teams regarding projects, tasks, change management, and qa/ra requirements and regulations. Monitors and reports supplier related metrics to ensure compliance with performance criteria and pursues corrective action to address non-conformances and SCARs.

Responsibilities for Employment:

  • Provides quality engineering support to the purchasing team. Works closely with Purchasing, R&D and Operations and engineering team (ME/QE) to develop and implement appropriate risk management, qualification, verification and validation plans for supplier related materials.

  • Responsible for managing the supplier development and approval and maintaining the assessment system.

  • Supports company goals and objectives, policies and procedures in compliance with quality systems, FDA regulations and MDD/MDR requirements.

  • Develops/implements/ensures compliance with supplier approval and monitoring procedures and work instructions.

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Years and Type of Experience :

  • 3-5 years relevant industry experience in a supplier quality capacity.

  • Experience working across multiple business units preferably at a global scale.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

  • Good communication skills.

  • Project management - ability to multiplex global projects.

  • Change management – leading changes locally and across the Consumables Group.

  • Strong business partnering skills and business acumen.

  • Exhibited track record of successful strategic cost saving implementations.

  • Analytical, business finance capability.

  • If direct material, technical knowledge/experience maybe required.
