Baptist Memorial Navigator-Intake in Jonesboro, Arkansas
Summary
Performs intake processes for patients entering programs within the multidisciplinary thoracic oncology department. Such programs may include, LDCT screening, Incidental Pulmonary Nodule, or Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Conference/Clinic. Specific tasks include completing clinical history intake to satisfy requirements of the given program, communicating with providers and patients about next steps in the care process, documentation and tracking of patient care as they move among or within thoracic programs, coordination of care before/during clinic visits and participation in programmatic meetings. This position will interface with other team members, including nurse navigators, clinicians, and front desk staff, to satisfy all program goals and requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Completes thoracic program-specific clinical intake
Coordination, documentation and tracking of care processes in EPIC
Communication with providers about thoracic program-directed care
Communication with patients about thoracic program-directed care
Supports other team members with program goals
Completes assigned goals
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Preferred: Associates Degree
Minimum: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Experience
Preferred: 3 Years experience in onocology clinical work
Minimum: 3 Years medical office experience. Knowledge of medical terminology or procedures.
