Job Title: TIG Welder on Gas Turbine Alloys

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team, specializing in welding gas turbine components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various materials and be able to execute high-quality welds as per technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and installation of welding equipment.

• Execute welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specifications.

• Perform quality checks on completed work before confirming the operation step.

• Prepare and confirm the required quality documentation.

• Report production time used per production step.

• Set up welding parameters, select consumable materials, and prepare workpieces for new welding process trials in collaboration with engineering staff.

• Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience.

• Proficiency in TIG welding on various materials such as Nickel Alloys, Inconel, Haynes, cobalt, stainless steel, nickel, carbon steel, and steel.

• Ability to read blueprints and perform fabrication tasks.

• Experience with precious metals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding, flux core welding, and fitting.

• Familiarity with tape measures and blueprint reading.

• Some experience with pneumatic tools and skills in belting and grinding is helpful.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse environment with air conditioning. Safety shoes rated by ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999 are required, with I/C (Impact/compression), EH (electrical hazard), and SD (Static Dissipative) ratings. Must have steel toes. The position involves rotating between different departments to gain various skills. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday with 1st shift from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am.
