We are looking for an Application Group Manager to drive the development and introduction of new products, process, and packaging in the factory and in compliance with legal requirements meeting safety, hygiene, cost and environment need. In addition, you will lead and empower a team to solve problems, make decisions and improve processes.

A day in the life of...

  • Manage the development and introduction of new products, processes and packaging in the factory, based on R&D owned technologies or in close collaboration with R&D.

  • Ensure compliance with both Nestle requirements and local regulatory framework.

  • Support factory(ies) and marketing on projects / initiatives related to product, processes and technologies to achieve Operational Excellence savings and 60/40+.

  • Ensure flawless new product/technology deployment from R&D to operations, including know-how.

  • Network with PTCs, R&Ds, CTAGs and other AGs of different markets to have an update on current developments and also facilitate best practices and promote knowledge building and transfer throughout the organization.

  • Motivate, guide, support and coach the resources to align with the objectives in the WOR to act in accordance with NCE guidelines and to achieve performance improvements.

  • Manage the resources / people / budget / business objectives within the AG Department.

  • Ensure workplace safety and effective communication of Safety, Health and Environment to all team members in compliance with the local laws striving for Zero accidents through continuous coaching on safety behaviors.

  • Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team in order to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with NEC guidelines. Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports including training on required skills and knowledge.

What will make you successful

  • University graduate or equivalent in food science, chemistry or related subjects, complemented by a solid 5 to 8 years of R&D food industry experience within the product category.

  • I&R and operational experience

  • Project Management experience involving a range of projects of varying size and complexity.

  • Factory experience in multiple categories of products.

  • Line management: Proven capability of managing groups of people.

  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams (with or without direct reports).

  • Attend and actively participated in R&D workshops/seminars and Product Mastership workshops.
