Social Media/Marketing Manager

The Dot Shop Gallery is a boutique art gallery and store located in Kalama, WA, featuring the original dot mandala artwork of Christina Lee.  Christina's growing brand includes a thriving online presence as well, primarily as a dot art-interest community.  The brand is looking for a talented and driven Social Media and Marketing Manager.  The ideal candidate will work to strengthen the Christina Lee and Dot Shop Gallery brand by administering social media accounts, developing and running marketing strategies and campaigns and overall managing online content and marketing.  This individual will work closely with Christina and other collaborators to accurately express the brand's creative objectives to the public as well as a large volume of established followers.

Candidate will have knowledge of upcoming trends in social media marketing, as well as emerging technologies and platforms.  The company currently has a combined social media following of roughly 200,000 users, with high customer engagement.  The Dot Shop Gallery also maintains a website for purchase of original art and digitized Dot Shop art products. The right person for the position will be able to independently handle the associated web traffic and ecommerce needs, with a view to increasing online visibility and brand growth.

Part-time to start, with potential to move to full-time eventually.  Salary negotiable dependent on education and experience, minimum $25/hour plus possible bonuses. No benefits. 

Remote work okay, with preference given to qualified candidates in or near Kalama, WA.  Flexible schedule -- hours to be determined, with some availability for meetings or conversations with Christina as needed.

Responsibilities

Work with Christina to develop and implement marketing strategies, particularly by leveraging social media and website traffic.

Perform research on current marketing trends and forecasts, providing simplified analysis and interpretation.

Collaborate on budget, setting specific objectives and detailing needs, and provide reports re: return on investment.

Manage social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tiktok, with possibilities of reactivating YouTube and/or adding future platforms.

Develop and implement email marketing campaigns including customer freebies, discounts, and or incentives.

Update website as needed with new products and/or announcements, including implementation of product promotion campaigns

Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content on a schedule as discussed with Christina.  Complete operational requirements for all web platforms.

Create and edit videos for social media and web

Develop, organize, and implement campaigns around brand anniversaries, holidays, and special occasions.

Collaborate with brand partners to ensure seamless productivity outcomes.

Communicate with followers, respond to comments, questions, and concerns in a timely and professional manner, employing patience and compassion for a diverse audience.

Oversee design and maintenance of secondary social media accounts.

Qualifications/Skills

Proficiency in Social Media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.

Knowledge of e-commerce and proficiency with Shopify.
