Arvco Container Corporation is looking for a highly skilled Press Operator to join our team and operate our industrial machinery. High levels of attention to detail and the capacity to solve any mechanical problems are requirements for this profession.
Duties:
- Run and keep the folder-gluer line in working order.
- Keep an eye on the printing process to guarantee quality control and make any adjustments
- Inspects for skewing, fiber tears and sufficiency of glue on seams
- Train and oversee the work of the gluer assistants assigned to the line
- Stack corrugated boxes containing finished product
- Perform line cleareance after each carton run
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Operating a folder-gluer for at least three years
- Mechanical aptitude must be demonstrated through prior work experience
- Saturday and overtime work are requirements
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and specifications
- Must have basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are required.
