Catering Supervisor

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for executing, delegating, and supervising daily administrative and operational functions of the Food and Beverage services for Levy at Zhou B Art Center.

Essential Duties may include:

• Attend work regularly and reliably, which may include nights, weekends, holidays to accommodate catered event schedule.

• Determine workload requirements needed to execute high standards for catered event orders.

• Meet with function group leaders (clients) to discuss set-up arrangements, address short-turnaround changes, and key needs of the group’s event.

• Interact with guests, customers, and client representatives to resolve or otherwise address complaints, concerns, and feedback.

• Demonstrate full understanding of menus, include food, service, and presentation content.

• Instruct, lead, and manage other hourly staff on tasks, service standards, and expectations for catered events.

• Train, guide and assist other hourly staff in the set-up, preparation, and break-down of catered event space, at a high standard of execution.

• Assemble, deliver, and supervise food and supplies to scheduled functions according to schedule and specification.

• Serve, supervise, and direct food and beverage service to guest.

• Ensure high standard of food quality, presentation, and strict adherence to safety and hygiene regulations and practices.

• Maintain, train, and instruct sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supply, utensils, service stations.

• Partner with culinary leadership to ensure proper food preparation and service according to client’s agreement, health and safety standards, and quality presentation.

• Performs ad-hoc and project-oriented assignments as needed by Supervisor or other venue leadership, and other duties as assigned.
