Robert Half Systems Administrator in Kansas City, Missouri

Description

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator in the education industry based in Kansas City. This role requires a meticulous individual who can manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our systems infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations across the board. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of a variety of technologies including Cisco, Dell, Linux, and Active Directory, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily performance of computer systems and respond to user queries

• Install, configure, and support the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems

• Monitor systems to ensure their availability to all users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability

• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware

• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations

• Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software

• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use

• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in the education industry

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Experience with Database management

• Familiarity with Dell Technologies

• Knowledge of EO/IR systems

• Proficiency in Linux Technologies

• Experience with Active Directory

• Familiarity with Backup Technologies

• Proven experience with Computer Hardware

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Proven ability to manage Deployments

• Experience with System Backups

• Knowledge and experience in Disaster Recovery

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
