What you will do

The Principal Network Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing day-to-day systems operations, driving company initiatives, ensuring systems are in place to support operations, and meeting or exceeding customer requirements. You will also lead, influence, and negotiate to achieve business strategies and deliver results for internal/external partners, analyze business processes for reengineering opportunities, and manage project resources. Additionally, you will contribute to Human Resources related processes and establish improvement processes:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex network and cloud infrastructure solutions in alignment with the Job Title and Role.

  • Lead and manage a team of network and cloud engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve network and cloud performance.

  • Develop and maintain network and cloud security policies and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in network and cloud engineering to ensure the organization remains competitive in the market.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for network and cloud infrastructure operations.

  • Lead and manage a highly specialized technical group to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.

  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering to coordinate corrective actions and ensure operational integrity of all changes to the environment.

  • Analyze business processes for reengineering opportunities and establish improvement processes.

  • Contribute to Human Resources related processes such as succession planning, talent management, compensation planning, and performance management.

  • Ensure systems are in place to support local and global operations and meet or exceed customer requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency, and business value.

  • Drive company initiatives or programs and provide information technology planning to meet the company's objectives.

  • Follow quality processes and procedures, execute and evaluate department policy, and anticipate and resolve issues/barriers that impede progress.

  • Establish and guide all operations towards common definitions and standards.

Must have skills:

  • 3-5 years of supporting and understanding a large enterprise network.

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success designing, deploying and/or managing highly available Network Cloud Solutions in AWS OR AZURE (CWAN, vHub, native Firewall and load-balancer)

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success designing, deploying and/or managing highly available Data Center (Cisco Nexus, Arista, VxLAN EVNP, Spine/Leaf)

  • 2 years of demonstrated success designing, deploying F5 load balancer services (LTM, GTM, APM)

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Colocation and Dat Center Providers

  • Advanced knowledgeable on the network cloud and data center product portfolios

  • 3 years of network cloud and data center automation development with scripting experience in Python, Terraform , Ansible and Restful API

  • Present network cloud and data center solutions and designs to peer engineers and network leadership.

  • Create and publish network cloud and data center designs and standards.

  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly terms.

  • Highly self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and outstanding customer service orientation

  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment.

A Plus to have skills:

  • BA/BS required and degree in STEM field preferred.

  • CCIE or equivalent certification or experience.

  • AWS Advanced Networking certification.

  • AWS Solution Architect Certified Professional or equivalent AWS certifications.

  • Azure Associate or Professional level certifications.

  • Cisco Certified DevNet Associate

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with WAN/LAN//WLAN network and products, services and solutions such as SDWAN, SD-Branch, SD-Access

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of network protocols OMP, OSPF; EIGRP, BGP, spanning-tree, hardware and software manufacturers and their roles within the industry (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet Zscaler, and F5).

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Network Tools such as DNAC, CVP, Meraki Dashboard, vManage, LogicMonitor, Syslog, FMC, Thousand Eyes

  • Knowledge and experience of industrial/manufacturing/warehouse network and IOT

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 8-10 years of related experience in network and cloud engineering.

  • Experience leading and managing a team of network and cloud engineers.

  • Strong knowledge of network and cloud infrastructure design and implementation.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.

  • Ability to analyze problems or malfunctions and ensure timely resolution.

  • Experience in managing day-to-day systems operations, including personnel, financials, and services within area of responsibility.
