Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within retail

Skills:

  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized

  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels

  • Effective time management skills to support multiple projects and effectively manage a large volume of work

  • Sound analytical skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills

  • Responds positively to change, embracing and using new practices or values to accomplish goals and solve problems

  • Able to identify process improvements and be proactive in executing process improvement initiatives

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or actively participate in the completion of Special Projects as assigned by supervisor (special store projects, new shop launches, new merchandising concepts, new store reviews, strategy expansions and department reset etc.)

  • Lead the coordination with the Specialist Visual Merchandise Special Projects and Stores to deliver customer centric brand experiences through new and enhanced visual merchandise presentations to drive store productivity.

  • Designs and implements out of the box in-store displays and signage elements for each special project or Executive Leadership initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including Procurement, Visual Merchandising Creative, Store Design, Retail Operations and outside vendors in distributing all visual merchandising requirements needed for all new & updated projects

  • Continually seeks out new and innovative merchandise presentation efforts to further enhance our ability to deliver on the customer experience

  • Supports to ensure the Academy Sports + Outdoors and National Brand storytelling, operational feasibility and elevated customer experience comes to life in-store while further enhancing the retail store environment.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules

  • Duties may change; associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned

  • Delivers 3D renderings, in-store design intent documents and video walk-throughs of all special projects and partners with the Visual Merchandise Presentation Creative team.

  • Manages the New/Update store process cross-functionally with the Field Project Team and Store Operations. This includes creating store specific signage, ordering of existing signage, staging and tracking deliveries and processing all Store Recaps until store is Grand Opening ready.

  • Responsible for internal & corporate facility marketing for Town Halls, All Company Meetings, Seasonal Kick Offs, Regional / District Meetings and the similar.

  • Develops and maintains the In-Store Merchandise Guidelines and Standards in partnership with Visual Merchandising Planners.

  • Creates and distributes all distros and memos for In-Store Special Projects and other Merchandising initiatives as assigned.

  • Leads Grand Opening and Hot Market in-store activations, by delivering a smart action plan to achieve maximum impact while reducing overall cost.

  • Supports the creation and execution of all Visual Standards, communicates and demonstrates to all store and field leadership.

  • Provides hands–on training of Visual Merchandising Standards to Field Management including adaptation by store if necessary.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior

  • Up to 5% travel, overnight stays as required
