Tool Control Helper

Kent, WA

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the organization, inventory, and condition of the tools and equipment necessary for our operations.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of our projects by providing timely access to tools and minimizing the risk of tool-related delays or accidents.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate and organized inventory of all tools and equipment.
• Help perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on tools to ensure they are in good working order.
• Ensure tools are clean and properly stored after each use.
• Support the tool control staff in issuing tools and equipment to the workforce, monitoring their return, and documenting their usage.
• Aid in conducting tool audits and participating in inventory reconciliations.
• Follow strict safety and compliance protocols related to tool handling and storage.
• Respond to requests from personnel regarding tool availability and provide assistance in finding necessary tools.
• Coordinate with staff to identify and procure tools and equipment as needed.
• Support the implementation of tool control policies and procedures.
• Any other related duties as assigned by the Tool Control Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skilled in Microsoft office is a must.
• Basic knowledge of tool types, uses, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capable of lifting heavy tools and equipment up to 50lbs as needed.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn and grow within the company.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a must.
• Warehouse/shop floor position with frequent interaction with workshop personnel.
• Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment as required.
• May involve some physical exertion, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
