KBR Tool and Parts Attendant in Killeen, Texas

Title:

Tool and Parts Attendant

  • Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in industrial establishment. Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.

  • Searches for lost or misplaced tools.

  • Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.

  • Unpacks and stores new equipment.

  • Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.

  • May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using brush or spray gun. May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tool.

  • Must be able to work different shifts as required, be able to travel as needed, and be able to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.

  • Must be able to move safely move about in a maintenance environment and be able to sit, stand, squat, walk, and talk for extended periods of time.

  • Candidate will be exposed to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain), and will be subject to loud noises, exhaust fumes, and dust.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 4 years' experience leading military organizational level tool room operations.

  • Aviation maintenance experience preferred.

  • Must know the Logistics Inventory Process as per Army Regulations.

  • Ability to read and understand U.S. Army publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance manual instructions.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must possess a valid US Driver's license
