Project Analyst, Fleet Management

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Responsible for tracking and analyzing materials, equipment, and/or services from suppliers revolving around material handling vehicle and auto programs. This includes leased and purchased mobile equipment for use within the plants as well as over the road cars, light and medium duty vehicles.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within assigned spend area(s). Works with Sr. Project Leader- Fleet Management to gain knowledge and insight on existing programs.

Occasional travel to Kohler plants in US

Specific Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the requisition/acquisition process to secure goods/services in the assigned area of spend to ensure competitiveness and to limit risk of Kohler:

  • Review purchase requirements with internal customer(s) to develop business need and specify appropriate equipment based on use

  • Work with Corporate Purchasing to obtain supplier quotations/proposals on prospective purchases

  • Perform Buy vs. Lease Analysis

  • Review bid proposals especially technical specifications, quotes and make recommendations

  • Expedite goods and services as required

  • Maintain KPI data for North America and at the local level.

  • Support the Material Handling Equipment Program and associated maintenance contractors.

  • Roll out Kohler MHE program & processes to US facilities

  • Residual Value/TCO Value/Buyout decisions

  • Decide when to replace aging assets

  • Fleet Consolidation

  • Cost Efficiencies, CI Owner

  • Manage reassignment/relocation of equipment between manufacturing sites

  • Additional Asset types, AGV’s, Tuggers, Floor Scrubbers, Auto’s

  • Define SOW for fleet replacement/expansion projects

  • Management of WI Campus material handling repair contractors.

  • Work with Sr. Project Leader- Fleet Management to determine area needs and specify equipment to match those needs.

  • Approval of repairs over lessors authorization threshold or non-standard service requests.

  • Address any system exception reports (fuel, other and overdue PMs).

  • Any title and licensing needs that includes filing and managing all company owned vehicle titles, storage of titles, getting duplicate titles.

  • Assist with driver updates

  • Order vehicle decals, distribute, arrange installation, verify placement, ensure work is done properly.

  • Process asset move forms for Kohler owned vehicles being transferred or sold.

  • Monitor Fleet Team, ARI Insights and ARC programs for corrections and changes.

  • Perform fleet surveys at plant locations and user areas.

  • Maintain detailed equipment lists at a plant level and lease equipment lists.

  • Verify and approving Lease billing to ensure alignment with contract

  • Completion of annual lease equipment list with remaining commitment for Tax Department.

  • Verify equipment delivery, that unit is set-up and placed into service.

  • Order and ensure off lease inspections are performed and resolve any conflicts or authorize any needed repair.

  • Assign equipment unit and asset numbers.

  • Ensure all replaced equipment is physically turned in or sold.

  • Provide Corporate Accounting with new lease equipment information and request individual WBS

  • Element Numbers for the units.

  • Coordinating factory pick-up and plant delivery of new units.

  • Occasional travel to plant locations and suppliers.

Skills/Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of an Associate’s degree Preferred degrees: Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business or Engineering, with at least 3 years of professional experience.

  • Proficient in use of all common computer Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. SAP experience is desirable.

The salary range for this position is $66,300 - $83,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
