Supervisor, Facilities Services

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Onsite at Kohler, WI

1st Shift 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday

Opportunity

The Supervisor, Facilities Services will provide necessary technical support and leadership to direct, facilitate, and coordinate the performance, development, and improvement of the Facilities Service Team.

You will work as a member of the team, responsible for driving high quality and integrity of Buildings & Services through effective resource management, safe operating procedures, and regulatory compliance.

You should also have a good knowledge of building systems and basic facilities operations in industrial, office and Hospitality environments.

You will uphold our buildings as well as our services to help our associates, customers, and guests get the most out of our facilities.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Identify needs and facilitate regular maintenance of equipment (appliance, IT, etc.) and internal/external systems (e.g., lighting system, elevators, utility infrastructure)

  • Become an active member of the Building Steering Teams and act on the feedback

  • Manage Campus Food Service programs

  • Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained

  • Plan employee work schedules

  • Mange Kohler Co. Building Inspection programs

  • Manage Kohler Co. meeting set-up Services

  • Provide workers with assistance in performing duties as necessary to meet deadlines

  • Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, standards, and contract requirements.

  • Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the department supervised.

  • Investigate complaints about service and equipment and take corrective action.

  • Lead by Kohler Company Guiding Principles (Delight the customer, Own It, Boldly Innovate & Prioritize).

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills/Requirements

  • Required associate degree in Facility Management/Business Administration or related fields (bachelor’s degree Preferred)

  • 2-4 years of work experience as a Facilities Coordinator or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of facilities management operations

  • Well-organized

  • Additional certification as a facility specialist will be a plus

Technology Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook & Word)

  • Facilities Management Software (SAP) – Highly Desired

Knowledge

  • Customer and Personal Services – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Building and Construction — Knowledge of Building envelope, materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, or other structures such as elevators and roads.

  • Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Require maintaining Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per Kohler Co. driving guidelines.

  • Strong Communication & organizational Skills

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent bending, lifting, and pushing of weights up to fifty pounds.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $69,800 - $87,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
