Oracle Principal Member of Technical Staff in KOLKATA, India

Job Description

As an engineer in our team, you’ll be responsible to lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech leader you will be responsible for the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. Provide technical leadership to other software developers.

Qualification : BE/MCA degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Experience : 7-12 years relevant experience.

Career Level – IC4

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

  • 6-8 years of experience in designing, developing, fixing, testing, and implementing software solution in accordance with established standards.

  • Collaborate with other specialists, testers, and other team members to write high-quality code and deliver it to clients in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, JEE, JavaScript, SQL

  • Knowledge of C++ is an added advantage.

  • Experience developing enterprise level applications.

  • Experience with application development using frameworks such as Spring.

  • Experience in application design using architectural patterns such as Microservices.

  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects.

  • Chip in to scoping and improvement of solution designs, peer review code and design.

  • Debug existing code to identify and resolve issues.

  • Propose performance optimization and devise ideas for overall code refinement.

  • Provide guidance to junior developers.

  • Identify gaps in existing processes and suggest changes.

  • Work independently on developing medium complex solutions.

  • Propose and lead improvement projects for development, deployment, or application monitoring processes.

  • Share knowledge within the team through mentoring, coaching and technical talks.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
