Oracle OCI Solution Specialist, Open Source and DevOps in Korea, South Korea

Job Description

This is an exciting, high impact position focused on driving Open-Source workload onboarding to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Objective is to grow Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Open-Source technologies in APAC. This position requires full stack technical knowledge across open-source application framework, databases and ecosystems, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure along with outstanding customer engagement skills, and collaboration with many organizations.

Successful candidate must be a self-starter with passion, initiative and a “get it done” attitude. Master open-source full stack, the ability to create and deliver demo how Open Source technologies excel on OCI is a must. Superior writing and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Sales discipline, business and product awareness and a high standard of professionalism.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop Go-to-Market Strategy: Define APAC go-to-market strategy and align developer messaging with global directives. Create customer-facing and internal content, plan demand generation strategies, and empower sales and cloud engineering teams.

  • Drive Adoption and Usage: Increase usage, identify new open source workload opportunities, enhance customer value, and boost cloud renewals and consumption expansions.

  • Engage with Developers: Evangelize the benefits of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a full-stack provider for deploying applications. Provide technical content and experiences based on open-source technologies. Organize events and leverage social media to raise awareness.

  • Partner Collaboration: Communicate the value of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to partners, assisting them in overcoming technology and business challenges. Expand the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ecosystem with a focus on open-source technologies.

  • Deliver Live Demonstrations: Develop contextual demos using open-source frameworks and Cloud Native technologies efficiently.

  • Handle Technical Objections: Strong technical objection handling skills and experience of deep technical interactions with dev-sec-ops teams

  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with marketing teams to enhance awareness and with sales teams to generate and progress pipelines effectively.

  • Support Enterprise Accounts: Assist in initiating new projects within key accounts, focusing on account-specific use cases and co-developing solutions for production use.

  • Provide Training and Support: Train APAC regional Oracle teams and partners to execute and scale programs successfully.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Enhance effectiveness and efficiency, promote knowledge sharing across regional teams, and offer feedback to product development, marketing, and sales teams.

  • Customer Success: Gather and share real customer use cases to inform product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Create compelling customer success stories.

  • Performance Tracking: Measure and track the outcomes of initiatives to assess impact and inform future strategies.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Technical Expertise: Passionate with hands on experience of open-source technologies including DevOps, Cloud Native, CI/CD, Microservices, Serverless, and Kubernetes. Skilled in open-source programming languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, and Java, as well as databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional proficiency in English with strong written, oral, presentation, influencing, and negotiation abilities. Capable of engaging with diverse audiences, including developers, infrastructure engineers, and executives.

  • Developer Engagement: Experience in developer engagement, advocacy, evangelism, relations, community building, or technical marketing is advantageous.

  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in selling cloud services and application development platforms within the APAC market.

  • Customer Focus: Dedicated to fostering strong customer relationships.

  • Collaborative Skills: Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as part of a team. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated individual adept at task prioritization and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, marketing, or related field.
