Position Overview

Autodesk is looking to hire a Software Automation QA Engineer to join the Fusion 360 Manufacturing Quality Assurance team in Krakow, Poland.

You are skilled in the testing of desktop software APIs or scripting API using C++ or Python, and have some experience scripting with Javascript. You are a quick learner and likes to face new challenges. You will work in a collaborative environment with Quality Assurance Analysts, Software Developers, and expert users of CAM products. Autodesk Fusion 360 is the first and only integrated cloud CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform, unifying design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing. It allows you to connect your entire product development process on one cloud-based platform, and access it from the web, and from both Windows and macOS.

You will report to the Software QA Manager.

This team works in a Hybrid working model, based from our Krakow office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated testing for Fusion Manufacturing.

  • Create scripts (Python or C++) to support Fusion API development.

  • Build effective cooperation with QA analysts, developers, product owners and other stakeholders.

  • Analyze and deconstruct a complicated software system and design strategies to test it.

  • Report, manage and prioritize defects. Collaborate with developers, QA analysts and other stakeholders to investigate problems, search for solutions and perform root cause analysis.

  • Enforce engineering excellence practices and drive quality early in the development cycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer sciences, engineering or manufacturing related field.

  • 1-2 years of work experience in desktop software testing (automated and manual).

  • Proficient in Python programming skills.

  • Good level of English, oral and written.

  • Ability to express complex concepts clearly.

  • Knowledge of software development practices and procedures.

  • Ability to effectively cooperate with people.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more manufacturing domains: subtractive, additive, fabrication, etc.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience testing web-APIs.

  • Understanding of dev-ops practices.

  • Passion for product quality.
