Position Summary

We are looking for a highly competent Commodities Global Logistics Specialist based in Malaysia. You will report directly to the Commodities Global Logistics Team Lead and supervise Ocean shipments processes and execution to allow smooth Buy & Sell activities of Nestrade Procurement.

A Day in the Life of a Commodities Global Logistics Specialist

  • Supervise Shipping Lines operations, in order to ensure a smooth execution of shipments

  • Be the Operational SPOC for Suppliers and Carriers to resolve booking exceptions / vessels space issues

  • Be super-user in the usage of Shipments Management Systems, helping users to track, maintain visibility and collaborate efficiently in the platform.

  • Monitor Shipments' Platforms performance based on agreed SLA, ensuring business continuity, and driving continuous improvement

  • Follow-up on carriers booking process, ensuring compliance with ocean contracts allocations defined by GLP

  • Manage process to redirect containers to new Destination (COD) when necessary

  • Support and collaborate on export traffic activities, export documentation, custom clearance if needed

  • Establish good communication with suppliers, Procurement, and Shipping Lines

  • Support on logistics projects, proactively seeking and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain SOPs and Standard Ways of Working (SWW), archive knowhow documents

What will make you successful

  • Master or bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Supply Chain.

  • Significant experience in freight forwarding industry / Shipping Lines (import / export operations).

  • Proven understanding of Logistics industry current challenges

  • Strong analytical mind and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment in constant change, get things done attitude.

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP.

  • Experience of international exposure

  • Languages: English (fluent),
