Objective
The objective of the Project Manager (PM) is to implement and complete the project according to the conditions of the customer order and the defined project management standards in such way that the contractually stipulated performance.
Assure that scope is delivered in compliance with quality and the target dates and costs.
Achievement of sustained customer satisfaction.
Shared project control between PM and CPM (Commercial Project Manager) must be observed.
The PM acts and works within the scope of the project according to the project target agreement concluded between the PM/CPM and the Responsible Business Manager at the beginning of a project.
Main tasks:
Drives own empowerment with adequate signature authorization and target agreement to manage the project as entrepreneur according to the organizational standards
Stands for overall responsibility to improve on project results based on strategic priorities and set goals (e.g. budget, quality, schedule, EHS)
Coordinates overall cross-business planning of the project together with Sub Project Managers and decides on allocation of resources
Drives project progress continuously with milestones and budgets and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost
Drives technical solutions and integrations of all (sub-)systems
Manages Customer Requirements and builds fruitful relationships to customer representatives
Manages Project Stakeholders and Business Partner
Identifies/creates additional opportunities in the ongoing project, proactively drives opportunities
Actively gathers information on the customer and customer's strategies and manages requirements and targets
Lives full responsibility for the financial results according to targets
Optimizes the project gross profit, cash flow, project related assets and financing instruments
Identifies claim potential and works on mitigation/avoidance strategies together with the project team, negotiates with stakeholders on change requests and incorporates them into contracts
Ensures monitoring and management of risks and early escalation, devises suitable strategies for risk mitigation and ensures the implementation of the risk mitigation measures
Implements procedure to solve all major issues with all necessary internal and external partners prior to project disorientations
Monitors the progress with an integrated KPI tracking tool/system to enable early warning of project disorientations
Leads project members to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines following the rules (e.g. tax regulations, delegation of employees, guarantees and export control)
Sets necessary measures to ensure zero harm policy in environment, health, and safety
Reports Progress to Business Manager and HQ PMO/PE Office.
Experience required:
More than 15 years of experience as PM with full responsibility for project results in cross-organizational / consortium projects of volumes > 100 Mio EUR
Management of international projects and intercultural teams – Experience in the ASEAN region is a plus
Brown filed projects experience
Experience in construction / airport / baggage handling / automation projects is a plus
Expert English speaker, Malayan language is a plus
