Cargill Regional Benefits Lead APAC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Purpose and Impact

The Regional Benefits Lead APAC will provide insights on strategic questions that assess the effectiveness of the total rewards strategy. In this role, You will partner closely with the total rewards leadership team to understand total rewards strategic priorities and determine how to drive and support them. You will provide data analytics, problem solving, visualization and curiosity to synthesize information from multiple partners to accurately tell a story to drive strategic decisions. Monitor and manage regulatory and corporate compliance, design, strategy, governance, financial risk management of Cargill's employee benefit plans in APAC region.

Key Accountabilities

  • Complete periodic market data analysis and work to adjust design and strategy accordingly, ensuring programs attract and retain key talent while supporting our business and managing risk appropriately

  • Develop recommendations, provide consultation and support implementation of benefit design changes, balancing business needs, employee experience, attraction and retention, operational efficiency, and Finance, Legal, ER/IR, Tax, IT and TGRC implications.

  • Develop business cases to support plan design and vendor changes, partnering with the business and key stakeholders on benefits initiatives and maintain an inventory to assist with queries, reporting and analytics.

  • Collaborate on employee communications plan documentation and provide briefings to stakeholders as required.

  • Partner with captive support, procurement, and HR Ops to manage vendor relationships, conduct RFPs, support contracting process, manage costs and approve/allocate vendor payments as appropriate.

  • Act as point of contact for complex benefit matters, assist processing of exception cases (ensuring proposals are legally compliant, equitable, accessible, and affordable) and escalating recommendations. Collaborate with MADJV team to develop benefit solutions to support business transactions (e.g. mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, JVs) as required

  • Collaborate with HR Ops to implement plan design and vendor changes, and to ensure a seamless employee experience.

  • Other duties and participation in broader initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of multi country / regional work experience in a global large sized multinational conglomerate .

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of experience in employee benefits

  • Technical knowledge of group health and welfare benefits for APAC region

  • Working knowledge of legal and tax requirements related to employee benefits.

  • Demonstrated influence and partnering skills (with Field HR, Finance partners, vendor relationships etc.)

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Project management skills with a “can-do” attitude and keen commitment to drive continuous improvements.

  • Oral and written communication skills relating to all management levels, vendors and plan participants.

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well with independently
