DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Field Service Engine – Kumasi Department in Kumasi, Ghana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Efficient Repairs: By diagnosing and completing less complex repairs to generators and components, you'll ensure minimal downtime for customers.

• Customer Engagement: Engaging customers courteously and professionally will enhance their overall experience and satisfaction.

• Proactive Service: Anticipating and addressing customer needs promptly will build trust and reliability.

• Specialized Tools: Using specialized tools and following procedures will ensure high-quality and consistent repairs.

• Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled preventative maintenance will help in avoiding unexpected breakdowns and extending the life of power generation products.

• Issue Escalation: Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced technicians or supervisors will ensure that complex problems are addressed efficiently.

• Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately will support warranty claims, quality control, and service records.

• Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies will ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Accurate Reporting: Ensure detailed and precise report writing to capture every aspect of the work performed.

• Safety Compliance: Observe all safety procedures and protocols, including conducting job safety analyses prior to starting any work.

• Vehicle and Tool Maintenance: Maintain proper housekeeping for vehicles and tools, ensuring they are serviced on time and kept in good condition.

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of product repair and maintenance, power generation systems, and engine systems interactions to efficiently diagnose and repair issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

• Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)

• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

• Current relevant electrical certification

• Locally valid driving permit

• Basic level field service work experience

• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products

• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

• Customer service experience

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
