Chenega Corporation Dispatcher in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands

Summary

The Dispatcher s hall operate desk and dispatch operations, the 911 emergency and administrative telephones, fire and security alarm systems, and CCTV in conjunction with the DACP on Kwajalein and Roi-Namur, 7 days per week. The Dispatcher will assist the DES in tracking Installation Status Reporting (ISR) metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Track record all incidents with a chronological listing of events.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if needed.

  • As a critical position will be required to report and remain available for emergency duty in expectation of a hurricane, other disaster, or declared emergency.

  • Document all complaints, call for service, and incidents received whether by telephone or from walk-in by documenting in the daily activity log.

  • Dispatch patrols for the respective incidents.

  • Daily communications with both; the Fire Department and Federal Law Enforcement personnel to include U.S. Military (DACPs).

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • One year of applicable dispatch experience.

  • Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, but not required to start.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 911 dispatch experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of standard office and administrative practices and procedures including business letter writing, records management, report preparation, and filing methods, correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary, modern office methods, equipment, and procedures.

  • Ability to provide varied technical and administrative assistance; use initiative and sound judgment within established guidelines; organize, coordinate, and prioritize a variety of assignments with varying deadlines; work effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions; handle difficult, confidential, and sensitive assignments; organize and maintain a variety of confidential records, reports, and files.
