Responsibilities: As a Recreation Therapist, you collaborate with other departments to enrich and enhance the services provided in La Crosse locations. In both onsite and community settings, you review programming and update the curriculum to give our clients the best possible outcomes. While creating therapeutic recreation activities, you strive to ensure that they meet goals for social skills, daily living skills, dexterity, and mobility. You encourage clients with disabilities to acquire new skills and get involved in health-promoting leisure activities, such as sports, dance, games, arts and crafts, and gardening. You also have the opportunity to conduct staff training related to recreation therapy processes, procedures, and/or techniques to enhance programming. You are a role model and mentor for our Day Service Associates and assist them in maintaining high-performance standards and quality service.
