Global Concepts Charter School Maintenance Mechanic in Lackawanna, New York
Lackawanna, NY. Global Concepts Charter School. Maintenance Full Time.$20 hr.
Summary: A Maintenance Mechanic inspects and maintains all building, equipment, and systems for any issues. Schedule repairs and makes sure they are all up to standards. Performs minor carpentry, painting and plumbing maintenance work. Supervises all cleaners.

Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consist with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc) Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary. (fix locks, replace windows, etc) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Summer time: Landscaping, cutting grass, maintaining grounds Winter time: clear walkways, salt parking lot and walkways. Assist in budget preparation Other duties assigned by Supervisor
Education, Experience, Competencies: Proven experience as maintenance technician Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems Working knowledge of tools, common appliance and devices Good communication Ability to paint, restore and maintain schools property Time management skill and problem solving skills High School or equivalent: Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Drivers license required and clean driving record
