Job Description

Insight Global is a seeking a Sr. GN&C Engineer to join a satellite manufacturer in Lafayette, CO. This person will be responsible for design, analysis, test, and deployment of GN&C subsystems for small spacecraft deployed in orbit. You will lead certain GN&C hardware selection and performance details and participate in all mission phases including new business development, design reviews, software and hardware-level test, on-orbit commissioning and operations.

Salary up to $185,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements

BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required

5+ years of experience within GN&C systems integration and testing

Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink.

Experience with developing and running 6-DOF simulation environments.

Experience with configuration management and issue tracking tools.

Comprehensive knowledge of spacecraft GN&C, ranging from orbital mechanics, spacecraft sensors and actuators, and attitude dynamics and controls.

Background with C and Ruby languages.

Experience with Model Based Design and auto-coding

Key industry-level expertise in autonomous vehicles GN&C.

Experience with simulator/hardware test development and execution, as well as mission operations is a plus.
