Position Description:

As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a key role in the development and customization of our client’s Salesforce applications. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing high-quality solutions that meet our business requirements. This position requires expertise in Salesforce development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

o Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

o Design, develop, and customize Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.

o Configure and customize Salesforce objects, workflows, layouts, and processes to meet business needs.

o Develop and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs and web services.

o Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows Salesforce best practices and coding standards.

o Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality and functionality.

o Conduct code reviews to provide constructive feedback and improve code quality.

o Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

o Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.

o Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features, updates, and industry trends.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

o Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform.

o Strong proficiency in Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL.

o Experience with Salesforce administration, including configuration, customization, and security settings.

o Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and best practices.

o Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.

o Understanding of database concepts and SQL.

o Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator, are preferred.

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Strong communication and collaboration skills.

o Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

o Proven ability to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions on time and within budget.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

o Experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience and Salesforce DX.

o Knowledge of Salesforce Communities, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.

o Familiarity with source control systems like Git.

o Understanding of agile development methodologies.

o Experience with Salesforce Einstein Analytics or AI capabilities.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $77,200.00 - $168,900.00.
