Lakeland School Corporation Lead CTE Instructor in Lagrange, Indiana
Job purpose
The Lead Career and Technical Education Instructor will provide leadership for all programmatic and curricular decisions regarding CTE programs. This leader will serve as an industry liaison for the related industry fields. Duties will include course design, operations, program planning and development, IEP accommodation services, as well as implementation and evaluation of CTE programs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate all CTE programs across the district
- Department head for CTE Professional Learning Community
- District Career Coach for Educational Services Grant
- Uses data to help instructors improve programming by collecting, analyzing, and determining next steps based on: test scores, school walkthroughs, collections of student work, and interim assessments
- Provides support to CTE instructors in the integration of IEP accommodations, academic standards, employability skills, state technical standards, as well as postsecondary CTE learning outcomes into their programs
- Studies, evaluates, and recommends to the school and district leadership the adoption of new instructional materials, methods and programs within industry related fields
- Actively seeks business and postsecondary partnership opportunities in order to provide high quality experiences for CTE students
- Collaborate with the Director of Staff and Student Success on curriculum development and resources for CTE courses
- Coordinates activities of CTE advisory committees
- Assists with the development of and integration of dual enrollment and program of study efforts
- Coordinate signing days for CTE students moving on to post-secondary education, technical education, and/or the workforce
- Assist with reporting for grants and the Indiana Department of Education
- Seek grant opportunities to enhance and expand CTE programs
- Teach/Facilitate a Career and Technical Education offering
- Other duties may be assigned.
