Mountains Community Hospital PFS Commercial Representative-Full Time in Lake Arrowhead, California

SUMMARY

The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for insurance claims following these accounts from time of admission through the payment process to closure of account. This includes updating information to patient accounts, submission of claims to the insurance carriers with all necessary documentation and aggressive follow-up with those companies for payment. Insurance companies include Workers' Compensation, Medicare, and Medi-Cal and others. Duties also include collections of patient liabilities and other commercial insurance payors.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Insurance billing experience.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer and ten-key skills and 45 wpm
