Need 8 full time, temporary, seasonal Farm Workers to work in Clarkfield, MN. From: 08/11/2024 - 12/15/2024 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs/day. Additional hours of work may be offered under this job order, but may not be required. Anticipated weekday hours 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. As required in Minnesota, all work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 10/14/2024 JOB DUTIES: Measure and layout livestock building. Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixer. Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment. Position and dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement. Position, join, align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall section or pipes. Tie rebar, position aluminum wall-forms and place all concrete. Clean Jobsite. Workers may assist supervisors in communicating information regarding work duties and requirements and instructing other workers in and related work activities. Workers may serve as the lead worker in small crews. Workers will work on their feet in bent, stooped and crouched positions and on ladders up to ten (10) feet in height for long periods of time. Employees must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment with a weight of 75 pounds frequently throughout the workday. (1) month work experience Work requires repetitive movements, pushing, pulling, exposure to extreme temperatures, frequent stooping or bending over and extensive sitting or walking. Workers should be physically able to do the work required. All workers that have a valid driver's license must agree to and comply with the employer's fleet policy agreement prior to driving any company vehicles. Workers shall not drive a company vehicle unless written permission is provided to employee. Workers may be offered a bonus of up to $100.00 for becoming a Farm Labor Contractor Employee (FLCE). All workers will be paid for hours in obtaining their FLCE license. All work related tools, supplies and equipment will be provided by the employer at no cost. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. One (1) month of aluminum wall-form setting experience required. In order to ensure safety on the job, the employer may conduct post- employment drug testing at the employer's expense, following any accident, reasonable suspicion, or random testing if needed. No HS Diploma/GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
