As a Part Time Banquet Bartender at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you\'ll be responsible serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in superior guest satisfaction. Set up the bar daily with necessary supplies per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and check par levels of beer, wine, and spirits. Stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to maintain quality. Greet guests courteously, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks using standard recipes and portion control. Update par sheets during shifts for accuracy and accountability. Maintain cleanliness of the bar and guest areas throughout the shift. Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and balance money. Lock and store all beverages, food, and equipment items. Follow liquor laws and regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests, and assist security with disorderly guests. What do you bring to the role? 2 years of bartending experience preferred, must have basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate, must be at least 18 years old to serve or pour alcohol. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes. Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers and to communicate with guests and take orders. Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock. Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items. Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
