Description

Fort William Henry cooks are responsible for kitchen operations, ensuring proper meal preparation according to FWH and Dept. of Health standards. Assist Executive Chef in kitchen operations and administration according to FWH standards.

Salary - starting at $18 per hour (based on experience)

Position Requirements

Experience/Requirements:

  • Previous kitchen experience

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

Skills/Aptitude:

  • Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills

  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures

  • Professional communication skills are required

  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, work calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Must have problem-solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
