We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk with one of our clients based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The Accounting Clerk will be integral to financial operations, focusing on customer credit applications, records, and inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and manage customer credit applications

• Maintain and update customer credit records consistently

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly to identify any irregularities

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary

• Perform invoice processing once a month

• Conduct data entry and analysis by reviewing data and identifying discrepancies

• Collaborate with team members and report any issues or concerns promptly

• Use Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data entry and analysis

• Learn and adapt to non-standard accounting procedures and ask questions as needed

Requirements • Proven experience in the role of Accounting Clerk, preferably within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Invoice Processing

• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing procedures in a manufacturing environment

• Strong Data Entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrating strong organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must possess a keen eye for detail, particularly when dealing with numbers

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
