About the Role :

A Private Bank Assistant Relationship Manager learns to develop, advise, manage, and retain Private Banking client relationships. They also provide wealth management services to these clients,including:deposit, cash management, credit, investment management, and trust services. Work very closely with clients, Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to analyze loan needs and options available.

  • Focus on client retention and identify opportunities to deepen relationships

  • Manage and review client relationships on an ongoing basis

  • Develop knowledge, understanding and improvement of all Wealth Management servicesincluding:consumer and commercial credit structures and solutions, financial planning, deposit solutions, investment management solutions, and trust solutions

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

  • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or other relevant area preferred- or equivalent work experience.Preferred

  • 2+ years of Banking experience.

  • Retains client relationships.

  • Proactive

  • Thorough knowledge of credit structures

  • Focused on client satisfaction

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to provide client solutions

  • Learning to prospect, build, and manage new client relationships

  • Thorough knowledge of bank products and servicesin order tocross-sell

  • Thorough knowledge in all job functions

  • Thorough knowledge in banking services offered by other Lines of Businesses to identify and offer qualified referrals

Workstyle: Fully onsite

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $60,000.00-$75,000.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
