Sutter Health Pharmacist in Lakeport, California

Position Overview:

Staff Pharmacists ensure timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products within Sutter Lakeside Hospital. This position assures that the medication orders are consistent with current medical practices, F.D.A. and drug manufacturer recommendations, current literature and/or other information sources. Variations from the above and drug manufacturer recommendations, current literature and/or other information sources. Variations from the above standards must be resolved within the Medical Staff Organization in accordance with established policies and procedures. Staff Pharmacists provide information and guidance in the proper administration of medications, on the request of other health care providers.

Job Description :

EDUCATION

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Bachelor of Science Degree from a recognized pharmacy school.

  • Other: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from a recognized pharmacy school.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

  • Residency or fellowship experience is desired.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Drug Utilization Review procedures, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring is required.

  • Computer knowledge is desired.

  • PC programs, Pharmacokinetics, interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Range is $81.92 to $90.78 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
