Nursery Worker
Seasonal Position
Job Duties:
Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops.
Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives.
Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, unloading and loading harvested products.
Qualifications:
3 months experience working in agriculture
Must possess ability to perform physical job duties outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for 8-10 hours per day.
Must possess the ability lift/move 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis.
Must be able to work with plants in a farm setting and work adjacent to or with nursery equipment, agricultural chemicals, and other related agricultural activities.
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Number of overtime hours per week: 0-15
Hours per day: 8-10
Hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm plus extended hours and Saturdays as needed
Days: Monday-Saturday
