Charles & Alice, Inc. Machine Operator in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Machine Operators operate food processing and packaging equipment in part by using computer interfaces. Machine Operators operate several machines and are cross-trained to fulfill several roles in a team-focused environment. Additional job duties include:
- Monitor manufacturing processes and make necessary equipment and process adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Perform quality control checks and document results.
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and basic preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and process deviations.
- Depending on the assigned work area, may move material using forklifts and/or other equipment.
- Perform sanitation of equipment and work environment during scheduled clean-up.
- Follow the Food Safety and Quality systems as it relates to job function and report all food safety and quality-related concerns to the Quality Department or Supervisor.
- Practice and promote positive employee relations and teamwork.
- Work safely and follow all safety and other Company policies.
- Ensure proper operation and take good care of Company tools and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience
- Prior machine operator experience, preferably in a food manufacturing industry
