Job Summary:
Join a compassionate team as an Access Assistant! In this vital support role, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance through our access center. Your warm demeanor and excellent communication skills will help you provide initial triage, connect callers to essential community resources, and ensure they receive the support they need. Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Remote in Michigan
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
Receive and handle incoming telephone calls with empathy and professionalism.
Provide initial triage and direct calls to appropriate resources or specialists.
Connect callers to community resources and provide information to community partners.
Assist with call queue monitoring, data entry, and client record documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Access Specialists for additional clinical screenings as needed.
Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity in all interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, professional counseling, nursing, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder service delivery.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Excellent multitasking abilities while managing calls and computer applications.
Experience in de-escalating customer issues with empathy and respect.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines.
