This position reports to Director, Make Excellence and Digital Strategy and is based at Kenvue – Las Piedras, Puerto Rico site.

Role reports to: Director, Make Excellence and Digital Strategy

Location: Kenvue – Las Piedras Site

What you will do

The Make Excellence Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for the Process Excellence Program to enable growth, improve systems, waste elimination, and employee engagement by applying Process Excellence tools within the KPS framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze data of business and quality trends to identify improvement opportunities for processes and systems.

  • Work with champions and Strategic Excellence and Digital Strategy Director, chartering and scoping high impact process, Process Excellence (PE) Six Sigma, and Lean projects.

  • Under administrative direction, is responsible for supporting organizational design and implementation of the processes.

  • Manages the implementation of major organizational effectiveness initiatives to increase leadership and organizational capacity.

  • Maintains high quality and safety and compliance standards, while planning and executing the project portfolio.

  • Ensures adequate infrastructure and technology is used to further support existing and new business opportunities in order to reduce operational cost by technology optimization, material and people flow improvements, and lean principles.

  • Manages resources and influences others to deliver budget, quality, efficiency, and EHS&S requirements.

  • Manages resources to develop and approve concepts, justify funding, and execute improvement projects plan.

  • Represents the Las Piedras Site and champions the Supply Chain Excellence Program.

  • Provides support in communications and presentations related to Leadership Staff, Townhalls, Operational Reviews and Network Strategy meetings. Maintains site capacity models.

  • Creates and/or supports improvement projects management monitoring and control processes.

  • Develops communication structure to support Process Excellence initiatives.

  • Creates and develops presentations for townhalls, strategic meetings, operational reviews, corporate visits, and any government/external visits.

  • Runs & Maintains site capacity models and site master plan.

  • Coordinates and support external or company internal visit including tours.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of aBachelor’s degree; preferably in science and/or Engineering.

  • A minimum ofsix (6) to eight (8) years of experience within the following areas: process engineering, project management, process validation, manufacturing, process excellence and/or quality.

  • Experience leading process excellence and/or lean manufacturing projects is required.

  • Previous experience working with solid dosage manufacturing under a regulated environment will be required.

  • At least four (4) years of experience in a leader role.

  • Financial acumen at both plant/business level and department budgetary level

  • Capability to facilitate discussions and workshops at multiple organizational levels.

  • Strategic mindset, outstanding critical thinking, influencing, and interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are required.

  • Demonstrates a passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas; embraces change.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish-oral and written).

  • Knowledgeable in GMP, OSHA and other pharmaceutical industry applicable regulations.

  • Project Management negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.

  • Should have basic knowledge in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

  • Knowledge in Minitab and a Project Management software is required.

  • Data visualization and analytical skills including statistical tool knowledge.

  • Demonstrate excellent visualization & story telling skills.

  • Able to travel in and outside of Puerto Rico. Able to work extra hours and to respond to emergency calls that require returning to the company after regular working hours of the business. Able to support other departments or projects according to business needs.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Process Excellence or Lean Green Belt certification required, or Black Belt certifications will be highly desirable.
