Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for all technical aspects involved in medication preparation and distribution. Incumbent will participate in the daily operations of Pharmacy Services and assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!

  • Perform duties and responsibilities of all lesser included jobs (ie: Pharmacy Tech I)

  • Compound intravenous medications for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients using sterile technique

  • Prepare pediatric and adult chemotherapy using negative pressure technique

  • Compound parenteral nutrition for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients

  • Perform unit-based rounds and medication distribution functions to assigned nursing units

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Graduation from a pharmacy technician training program preferred

  • Prior pharmacy technician experience or training of one year required

  • Prior hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred

  • Current Nevada license to practice as a pharmacy technician or eligibility required

  • PTCB / CPhT certification required
