Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager, Chief Technologist, and Medical Director, the Point of Care (POC) Coordinator directs the planning, implementation and maintenance of the Point of Care systems and the activities of testing personnel with respect to teaching, training, competency assessments.

  • This individual also is required to perform laboratory testing procedures and function as a bench technologist as assigned. S/he will be scheduled for on-call for technologist coverage responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Six (6) years’ experience as Medical Technologist.

  • One to three (1-3) years hospital experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity desirable.

  • Recent experience with personal computer applications in word processing, spreadsheet, or database management.

  • B.S. degree in related field of study.

  • CT MEDTECHI = Cert Medical Technologist or LIC MTGS = Licensed Medical Technologist General Supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • RN/BSN preferred.

Pay Range

$32.08 - $46.51 /hour
