Robert Half Receptionist in Latham, New York

Description We are looking for an efficient Receptionist to join our team in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry in LATHAM, New York. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity where you will be the first point of contact for our company. Your duties will include offering administrative support across the organization, welcoming guests and greeting people who visit the office. You will also be coordinating front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and answering calls.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for our company, offering excellent customer service to all visitors and staff.

• Manage front desk coverage, ensuring smooth operation of our reception area.

• Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring accurate intake and distribution.

• Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner.

• Perform additional administrative duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and transcribing.

• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.

• Update calendars and schedule meetings as required.

• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.

• Assist colleagues with administrative tasks as needed.

• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material. Requirements • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education

• At least one year of experience in a receptionist or customer service role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience in managing a multi-line phone system

• Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners

• Basic knowledge of real estate industry and property management is a plus

• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Willingness to learn new software and systems related to property management

• Must have a professional demeanor and appearance

• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends.
