About Us
VCA Shaker Animal Hospital is a busy 5 + doctor practice offering general practice, advanced dental services, orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, acupuncture and radiology. As an LVT on our team you will work with other talented and engaged LVTs and form strong trusting relationships with the veterinarians and other support staff. Our leadership is here to help our hospital flourish so you can provide exceptional care to every patient, deliver an outstanding client experience and nurture a supportive work environment for all.

The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical preparation and assisting
Dentistry
Radiology
Laboratory work
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
In the supervisor role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Directing work flow on the floor
Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
Help with the interview process for potential new hires
Technician Scheduling
Assists in staffing and coverage where needed
Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training
Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
Mentoring technicians within the department
Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service
Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

The salary range for this position is $26-$29 / hour based on experience
