KBR Senior Cost Engineer in Leatherhead, United Kingdom

Title:

Senior Cost Engineer

Location – Leatherhead (hybrid)

Must be a UK National and have a 5-year footprint in the UK in order to obtain relevant security clearance.

The Role

Due to our ongoing company growth and the increasing demand for our services, we will soon be seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Engineer. This role will be pivotal in managing and controlling project costs, ensuring that our projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.

  • Prepare detailed cost reports and financial analysis for management and stakeholders.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.

  • Conduct risk analysis and develop strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

What we Need

  • Understanding of basic project accounting, including revenue recognition rules under US GAAP

  • Good understanding of major factors driving project profitability

  • Strong understanding of business reporting tools

  • Ability to partner across the business to drive coordinated decisions

  • Understanding of basic project accounting, including revenue recognition rules under US GAAP

  • Understanding of project forecasting, including the creation of robust EACs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
