Description

We are in search of a dedicated Plant Controller to join our team based in Leesport, Pennsylvania area. This role is instrumental in administering all accounting functions at the plant level for assigned locations. The Plant Controller will be involved in budget preparation, product costing, monthly closing, forecasting, variance reporting/analysis, and providing support to plant management.

The Plant Controller responsibilities may include:

• Oversee the coordination of month-end reporting including inventory valuation, account reconciliations, and preparation of general ledger entries and accruals

• Preparation of weekly forecasts and annual budget in collaboration with the plant management team

• Analyze plant data and advise management on areas of possible cost reduction

• Implement and maintain individualized product costs

• Reconcile and analyze plant accounts

• Organize and control monthly physical inventories

• Create reports including variances of actual versus budget amounts for plant operating budget, labor budget, and raw materials

• Prepare capital expenditure requests

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a Plant Controller role or similar

• Prior experience in the Manufacturing sector

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

• Strong ERP system and Excel experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred
