    Summary:

    Leads and manages Mission Critical Project Teams as well as large and complex Mission Critical projects. Accountable for safety, client satisfaction, profitability, quality, and schedule adherence. Leads business development efforts by building relationships with influencers outside of the company to secure a diversified Mission Critical book of business. Conforms to corporate policies and procedures, upholds ethical standards, and exemplifies corporate values, with an emphasis on integrity and service. Ensure that all Nabholz personnel are supporting clients to the best of their ability and maintain an attitude of positive client relations to foster repeat business opportunities. This position will support the entire corporation to ensure success in its initiative to grow our market share in this sector.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Represent Nabholz in business development efforts, including active participation in community organizations, industry associations, and company events.

  • Monitor and review the performance of all assigned employees and provide recommendations to Presidents regarding staffing, developmental needs, position evaluations, and compensation.

  • Collaborate with Presidents to compose Project Teams with skillsets, qualifications, and workforce adequate to meet project needs.

  • Assemble, coach, mentor, and develop a diverse Mission Critical team to ensure growth opportunities and to achieve both individual and corporate goals and objectives.

  • Support Business Development Team throughout project acquisition, providing team leadership particularly during interview stage.

  • Promote and ensure proactive risk management to appropriately protect company assets across total portfolio of projects.

  • Lead project development and execution, from the Preconstruction phase through Construction and Closeout, ensuring compliance with Nabholz policy and procedures.

  • Collaborate with Project Team and safety staff to ensure the safe execution of projects with an achievable goal of zero jobsite incidents.

  • Ensure consistent implementation of Quality Management System on all projects.

  • Ensure adequate communication among Project Team in monthly, weekly, or daily meetings. Ensure appropriate meeting documentation and consistency within Operations.

  • Innovate, influence, and advocate for processes improvement and positive change.

  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, architects, and design consultants to enhance company visibility and positive perception.

  • Business Development:

  • Develop new business from new and existing customers.

  • Identify business opportunities and position company for consideration.

  • Take active role in presentations or other methods of securing project opportunities.

  • Preconstruction:

  • Manage transition from potential client to new client. Assure client is comfortable with additional integration and introduction with additional Nabholz personnel.

  • Assure project management team is properly integrated into the project.

  • Construction:

  • Assure client satisfaction.

  • Assist in schedule maintenance, budget maintenance, and risk mitigation.

  • Assure perception of involvement and interact with project stakeholders on frequent/regular intervals.

  • Assist in or lead in troubleshooting the resolution of issues adversely impacting, or the potential to impact the project.

  • Post-Construction:

  • Ensure all closeout documents are submitted, project is properly closed, and client expectations are managed.

  • Assure clients will be contacted regularly by members of the project team.

  • Provide technical advice and support when needed for all team members.

  • Work with corporate level executives, BDOs, and preconstruction teams towards goal of developing new clients, projects, existing clients, and past clients and projects to assure growth and opportunities

  • Willingness to travel for remote customers, client visits and other meetings to ensure successful relationships.

  • This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.

  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company or a company vehicle; therefore, the applicant must successfully complete a motor vehicle records check, possess, and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, and immediately self-report convictions/violations/tickets to the DOT Compliance Specialist as per Company Policy. Any negative change in the status of the employee’s driving record may result in the revocation of the employee’s privilege to drive for the company.

    Education/Skill Requirements :

  • A 4-year college degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or similar program is preferred.

  • Career experience must include at least 15 years of Project Management in Mission Critical construction, with complete profit/loss and schedule accountability.

  • Career experience must include positions of leadership over project teams with responsibility for talent management and employee development.

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, team leadership, and motivation.

  • Must be willing and able to speak before groups of people in project interviews and other presentations.

  • OSHA 30-hour training.

  • Microsoft Office suite.

  • Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (accounting application).

  • Scheduling software(s).

  • Community involvement.

  • Ability to build environment of teamwork and foster individual buy-in.

  • Maintain positive relationship with previous, current, and potential clients and designers.

  • Provide team leadership, both internally and externally, cultivating partnerships and creating career development opportunities.

  • Maximize the skills and resources of team members.

  • Demonstrate business acumen to protect company assets.

  • Anticipate and recognize project risks, and develop management plans to mitigate risks to subcontractors, to Nabholz, and to our clients.

  • Actively promote safe execution of projects, with an achievable goal of zero jobsite incidents.

  • Anticipate construction flow to provide overall schedule oversight.

  • Prepare and manage budgets proactively, including project budgets and overhead budgets.

  • Prepare for and lead efficient team meetings, from the Preconstruction phase through final project completion.

  • Proactively investigate and resolve disputes timely and fairly.

    Physical Demands :

  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.

  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to work in heat or cold, outside, and in high elevations.

  • Travel overnight as projects or corporate responsibilities require.
